Mapmaker is an adventurous, sentimental, and slightly supernatural short film about a mapmaking Owl who struggles to draw, and a lost Mouse with artistic talent. The two make a deal to help each other out in hopes that the Mouse finds his home again, and that the Owl finishes her map, with the underlying theme that letting go of your ego will help you grow.
About the Artist!
Hello hello! My name is Rebecca Iofis and I've got a big heart for dark fantasy, whimsical worlds, and well, owls. My fascination for those fluffy flying raptors has been with me since childhood and has inspired me to create stories beyond my imagination, as well as motivate me to learn art and production. I'm now a freelancing character illustrator and an animation student who wishes to become an art director. I hope this mini passion project inspires you to create something that makes your heart soar, as it does for me.
