Hope everyone had a good week! Mapmaker had a great start on production and is right on schedule.
The milestone document has been edited based on feedback, so now it's even more elaborate than before. I've successfully found a way to evenly balance the number of shots to work on each week without overloading myself, so it should be smooth from here. (Hopefully.)
That being said, this week's keyframes have been completed! Here are some cool shots:
What's really great is that my storyboards are clean enough to stand in as decent keyframes, so I've been just tracing over the frames which allows me to concentrate enough to focus on making the proportions more right looking and sticking to the model sheet. Consistency is what intimidates me the most, so I hope this will really teach me to be a lot more strict about referring to the model sheet. I have a bad habit of deviating from it and spontaneously changing a character's feature right in the middle of animating, simply because I found a better way to draw an eye or have realized that animating a pattern of feathers will be too hard.
It's scary working on a four-minute film! What was past Rebecca thinking...
Regardless, I have a pretty good feeling so far and my confidence grows the more time I spend on this film.
That's it for this week! Thanks for reading. Later!
