A new week and a new update. Let's jump right into it.
First off I finished inbetweening three shots! It was supposed to be four, but I accidentally skipped one in an earlier sequence. Thankfully it's not a difficult shot and I can easily squeeze it in on a future week.
Here are the shots I finished. They were the most difficult ones yet and I am very proud:
Animating more than one character in the same scene where they all interact with each other was a massive challenge. However, having really solid keyframes helped a lot.
After finishing the in-betweens, I went ahead and experimented with some coloring. I chose a simply animated shot with the least amount of frames but with enough range of subjects to be able to test and imagine what a final shot would look like.
Figuring out a coloring process and how to manage the layers was a difficult challenge to do on Clip Studio Paint since the program isn't a full-fledged animation program and has tools that are more optimized for cel animation.
But, the test helped me figure out an idea and gave me an excellent set base of reference. I then composited the layers onto Premiere very quickly (however I plan to learn to composite in After Effects), then added some sounds for the environment.
Here's the test! It is not the final version, but merely a “sketch."

And that is all for this week. Next week, I plan to finally color my color script, finalize the character color schemes, and illustrate the first background!
See you in the next update. It's going to be a good one.
Bye!
